"Rodeo" "Our Doberman, “Rodeo” was undergoing chemotherapy and acupuncture with Dr. Hershey at the Glendale office of Integrative Veterinary Oncology.  As time progressed we found ourselves needing to save money for the continuing treatments and related medications.  During one of our visits, we had planned to have Rodeo’s acupuncture and chemo done but asked to postpone due to finances. We were told that The Yellow Dog Foundation was going to cover part of his chemo treatment, which was benefiting Rodeo.  This act of kindness came just in time and we appreciate the work that The Yellow Dog Foundation continues to do.  Thank you so much for caring about our boy, Rodeo". Jan & Steve Kanaba

"Jack" "Thank you so much for generous contribution to the care of my dog Jack!  You have helped keep my best friend alive and flourishing and I feel so blessed.  Jack is a 2 year old Labrador mix that has been my best friend since I rescued him from the animal shelter at 3 months old. A few months ago, I noticed a lump in Jack’s neck. I met with Dr. Hershey, our oncologist a few days later. I made the decision at this time that chemotherapy was the best option for Jack’s care. Without your contribution I would not have been able to afford to continue Jack’s care and the likelihood of the lymphoma returning would have exponentially increased. I thank you so much for your kindness and for helping to prolong Jack’s life".  Sincerely, Rachel Peters

"Leo" "Thank-you so very much for all that you have done for my sweet Leo. You have given me piece of mind that I might not have had.

Leo means the world to me and my family. I don't know what we would do without him. I now know he is not currently suffering and that he does have quality of life. Once again we thank-you so very much".  Leo and the Gomez family

"Leo" "It’s hard to express our gratitude for the outpouring of love and generosity toward Oly in response to the Yellow Dog Foundation’s fundraiser on Oly’s behalf.

As you obviously feel toward your pets, Eric and I love Oly very much and would have done anything to pay for his continued care and quality of life.

The compassionate people who have helped us with this expense should know that they spared us some life-altering choices (other than choosing not to pay for Oly’s care) that would have been necessary.

Words do not seem sufficient, but we do thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  All dogs are special, just as most people.

Oly is my soul dog, though, and I pray that your kindness comes back to you tenfold.  We’ve been absorbed with Oly, a worthy recipient, yes, but we want to get out ourselves and be a little part of The Yellow Dog Foundation".  Blessings to you, Eric & Lynne Zoller

Thin Lizzy "It was by divine intervention that I found my oncologist and The Yellow Dog Foundation. Looking for an oncologist, I called and they had already heard of Lizzy through the grapevine.

It was her destiny to be seen by them for her treatment. I had hit a standstill with donations and fundraising last month and out of the blue The Yellow Dog Foundation made a surprise donation for Thin Lizzy's chemo treatment.

I am so very grateful and I wish to thank The Yellow Dog Foundation from the bottom of my heart for the help they have given my dog Thin Lizzy for her chemotherapy treatment.

We couldn't have done it without their help. Blessings to all that are in charge of this wonderful organization!" Pamela & Thin Lizzy

Bear "I'd like, and need to, Thank Yellow Dog Foundation and Kobi for all of their assistance and loving support.

Through hard work, dedication, persistance and love we were able to raise over $700 for Bear's health care and he has found his way in to clincical remission.

Just as he has done with all of our hearts. Bear has been more than a pet, an integral part of family and life. Words can not express, in any language past or present, the gratitude that is felt for all of dilegence and care that was put forth.

Thank you once again for all that was done in the pursuit of helping those in need. Even for a lovable pup named Bear". With Love and Respect, Jamie Mather

"Sierra" "My Husband lost his job of 30 years, and we are living on a very limited income.  It is a two hour drive each way to get our dog “Sierra” chemo treatments and medication. We have exhausted any money put aside, and even borrowed for fuel and treatments.  She still needs more treatments.

I need to thank you for your generous donation to get her one more treatment.  Sierra is more than just a dog, she is part of the family, my pretty girl and friend.  I am so thankful for the added time she will be with us because of your kindness.
Thank you so very much".  Maxine L Johnson

Ethyl Hi There ..."My name is Ethel (my sister was Lucy!) and i am a big mid-western born girl (born in Indiana). I had my first encounter with mast cell cancer when i was just a young girl. Back in Indiana we did not have cancer veterinarians; so i had the two masts surgically removed and the vet did a beautiful job (hardly any scar!) I took Benadryl and really had fun growing up...running in the open fields and playing in the snow.

A few years after moving to Arizona, those pesky mast cell tumors started popping up; before we knew about Dr. Hershey, a vet started operating...one would be removed and two more would pop up. My human mom couldn't stand for me to go through so many surgeries and they just kept coming (those pesky mast cell tumors).

Fortunately we learned about Dr.Hershey (we had a new vet now who knew her stuff and sent us to Dr Hershey right away). I went through chemo (and how cool i didn't lose my hair!!! i would have looked really wierd at 100 pounds and naked!).

And by golly those cells stopped popping out; so we went on a maintenance program. I take Masitinib....first every day for about a year; and my tumors were stable (hooray); so we went to every-other-day for about a year and tumors still stable (double hooray)....now we are going to try 3 times a week (keep your paw nails crossed for luck)....Meanwhile i feel FANTASTIC...best in a long time (forgot to mention i have lost a bunch of weight (down to a sassy 91 pounds from 114)

I am outside everyday taking my human for a morning run; helping garden; and soaking up some sun. My humans are struggling (aren't all of you) with finances; job hunting (not working yet) and i am doggie begging for a little help this month for my Masitinib; ANYTHING is so very very very very appreciated....i am rolled over on my back and taking any tummy rubs you want to give in my aprreciation for you doing this...i know there are a lot of us that need help so thank you soooooo much for giving me a turn....i talked to my humans and they WILL give back to Yellow Dog as soon as a job is landed because they do want to help when they can; and they will....thank you thank you thank you for letting me continue to be a good dog who is very loved and brings as much joy and humor to my humans as i can; and i have a huge will to keep living". Ethel

Sophie "Our Sophie seems to be doing much better since her last treatment, appetite is good and she seems to have more energy.

I was also the recipient of a random act of kindness from your nonprofit organization. Please let them know that our little Sophie has been a wonderful companion for my wife especially over the last two years during her many health issues. You could always find Sophie lying in bed next to my wife, keeping her company and providing a constant source of love and affection (many kisses from Sophie during this time).

Please express my heartfelt appreciation for their kindness and financial assistance. I should mention that during this period I have been out of work, I lost my job before my wife got sick and while there have been times when I was afraid to leave her alone I need to focus my full attention on getting a job. Yesterday my wife got her PIC line removed after five weeks of taking 12 shots a day, I know that I can see the light at the end of this particular tunnel and I feel that things will continue to get better."  Henry Zissel
